You're putting the leftover shake back on your bagel for that last bite, right? ... Now that I think about it, I scoop everything on the plate onto the second to last bite, then drag the last bite upside down so the cream cheese picks everything else up.

Seattle just lost a real one.

Every year Tamara would text me just before mother's day and ask for za'atar bagels. And of course we'd hook them up for the biggest brunch of the year. I'm really glad that I was able to drop them off myself this year.

To me, Tamara was a friend. And a hero. She embodied restaurants as a vocation (to steal a phrase). They're special places that offer something uniquely warm to our lives. She knew that restaurants make our cities what they are, a vital place to gather over a meal and enjoy the best of what it means to be human. And she did it while also showing us how restaurants can give back so much.

Rest in Peace, Tamara. You'll be missed.

🚨 The Itchy & Scratchy: Jamon Serrano, cucumbers, sprouts, scallion cream cheese, and our house everything chile crisp.

Unfortunately, we had to take the Herschel Shmoikel Krustofsky off the menu due to recently divulged information regarding the working conditions at the KrustyCo Sweatshop. I'm sure Itchy and Scratchy better reflect the values of the restaurant, as demonstrated by the hospitality evident in slide 2.

Introducing The Rocky Raccoon: egg, roasted mushroom & sun dried tomato, avocado, sprouts, and truffle cream cheese. It's been on the menu in Lake City, and it's so good that we're bringing it to Ballard too.

We're going to be updating the menus at both spots in the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for more changes!
