Please read the whole thing.. or just skip to the bottom for the important stuff!

See anyone in there you recognize? Last night there was a reunion of sorts… a lot of the folks in this picture were part of the og crew! Most of them spent at least 6 years of not more than 10 years making Brouwers aka the Beast breath. We had some wild times working and partying together! It was amazing and an honor to see them back and together!

Which leads us to our next statement: TODAY, Friday June 28th is the last day we are open to the general public!
We are reserving Saturday June 29th for friends and family yes regulars this means you… can you name an employee that your there to see.. past or present? Do you know where the men’s and woman’s rooms are? If you’re meant to be there you will be Cheers!

We’ve always wanted to stay true to our vision of providing a place where people could find the best craft beer from around the world, they could enjoy excellent food at more casual prices, and they could be treated to an experience unlike any other establishment. And, we’ve been doing that for 19 years now!

In the early years we had days with people 3 deep at the bar because they just had to have that special release beer, and our festivals caused lines around the block. The energy was high, we were at the forefront of the beer scene, and it was a lot of fun for our customers and our staff.

So, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of Brouwer’s Café. We helped pave the way for what is now an amazing craft beer community in Seattle, but consumers have changed, the market has changed, and even the Fremont neighborhood has changed.

We would like to thank all the Breweries, the Washington Brewers Guild, the good people of Fremont, and all our guests near and far, the P.N.C. and most of all our staff from past and present for your dedication to the pursuit of fine beer and bringing joy to others. Love and respect!

We feel honored to have been part of this amazing community for so long, and we cherish all the incredible friendships we’ve made along the way. The good news is we still have time to drink, tell stories, and celebrate together. Our plan to close on June 29th. We will be closed tonight and tomorrow, and return to our regular hours on Wednesday! So, come in and visit us, help us kick some kegs and empty our coolers.

Cheers

We are super stoked—it’s Loam Temple time! This beer makes us so happy and it will definitely do the same for you. Do you enjoy hitting the trails in Bellingham and the I-90 corridor? Do you live for those perfect rides on hero dirt? Well, loam season is here again, and thanks to our collaboration with , Loam Temple IPA will be close behind. This beer helps raise money for both and MTB, who tirelessly maintain our trails!

Want to get involved and show your support? Here’s how…

On May 4th we will be up on Galbraith in Bellingham digging on the Happy Hour trail, and we’d love you to join us (tools provided). Starting at 4pm we’ll head down to Structures Old Town for refreshments, where a portion of the Loam Temple IPA sales will be donated to WMBC. Cans will be available for purchase as well.

Starting May 9th Loam Temple will be on draft, and available in cans, here in Seattle at both Brouwers and with proceeds going to Evergreen MTB.

On May 19th there will be a smaller trail/dig event out the I-90 corridor. RSVP required for this event, so please reach out in advance, and we’ll send you an info link.

As always we’ve made new stickers—Loam is Life—and have t-shirts and beanies for sale as well. They will be available at these events, or just find Nat.

Cheers and help us spread the Loam love in the upcoming weeks!
