Today Im Celebrating 48 years!!! ✨🎉

This past year has been a journey of milestones fulfilled and visions brought to life! From catering for hundreds to honoring my mother’s legacy, from singing with passion to embracing the beauty of my own story—God has been faithful through it all.

As I step into this next year, I desire more softness, rest, and kindness toward my mind and body. I am committed to breaking the generational curse of working myself into sickness and instead walking in grace, balance, and abundance.

One of my sweet aunties reminded me that I, too, deserve to be poured into. She sowed a seed for me to spend time in the spa! 🙌🏾🙌🏾If you feel led to bless me in this way, my Cash App is $DayoJones. 💜💜

Multiple day Conferences, Large Formal Fundraisers, and a new Company Record of 10 successful jobs completed in just 2 days…were all met with Excellence. What a Dream come true!! Fun Facts about when I started! 💜
-I had to print out directions through Map Qwest
-My delivery vehicle was my little red grand Vitara 🚗
-I was just 28 years old
-I went to night culinary school because I was an architect during the day
-most things I had to do by hand are now Aps on our phone
-to mark the transition to fulltime Chef in 2008 I did the “big chop” of my permed hair. Thus cutting my hair to a all natural 3 inches

I’m not done with my fun food facts about Jamaica just yet! 🇯🇲 Y’all, did you know that Jamaicans are absolutely crazy about KFC? 🍗 It’s so popular that people line up for hours just to get their hands on it! (We paid a taxi driver from our resort to take us cuz he had the hookup with KFC Security that let people cut for $20….lol)

There’s even a saying that ‘Jamaican KFC is better than anywhere else in the world.’ Kevin and I agreed that the large pieces of chicken have the flavor of the ole school KFC Hot Wings and Honey BBQ 😋 pretty yummy. Have you tried it? Let me know in the comments!

🌴 Cool Fun Food Fact from Montego Bay! 🌴

Did you know there’s a fierce, ongoing battle in Jamaica between Tastee’s and Juici Patties over who makes the best patties? 🇯🇲 Of course, we had to join in on the debate! 😋

Tastee served up a patty with a flaky crust and a spicy, flavorful filling that had a serious kick!

Juici gave us a patty with a thicker, more substantial crust and a filling that was like a ground beef tossed in a rich gravy.

Winner? Juice’ Patties, hands down! We loved the heartiness and the flavor-packed filling. What’s your favorite Jamaican patty spot? 🥟

Full Circle Moments always cause me to Pause and take in the Manifested Proof that Gods Hands are and have been in my life…….

Next Month I get to Cater to the 350 students and faculty of the UW’s College of Built Environments for the American Institute of Architectural Students Conference. Literally 28 years ago, I was where they will be. No thought of cooking/owning a business. Every thought of confidently walking in Dad’s footsteps trained to Design since I was 4yrs old.

Thank you God for paths not straight and a future built by Faith…..🙌🏾
