We spent Thursday evening with our friends at Dunn Lumber in their new building on Northlake Ave. It was a special treat to get to serve the management team and see this beautiful building as it's being completed. The view of Lake Union from floor 4 is stunning! Thanks so much to Kat and the team for the opportunity to serve you!

Wedding season has officially begun!
Last Friday, we had the pleasure of catering for Sophie and Dave at UW Center for Urban Horticulture. The entire evening was wonderful spring weather even cooperated for a beautiful sunset.

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of helping a long-time customer, Alanah, celebrate her birthday. Happy, Happy Birthday Alanah!

It's always fun for us to host special events that are celebrations. To see family and friends coming together, even just for a few hours, it's really heartwarming. And it's always a great reminder that this is why we do what we do. We love to cook because it brings people together.

Our Seattle restaurant space was perfect for a group of 20 with a private buffet area! We would really like to host small groups more often, so please reach out when you're looking for a space to gather.

Another break-in, will it ever stop?

If you can, please support small businesses right now. We need it more than ever to survive! And not just us, but all small businesses.

We had another break-in this morning in Seattle. 2 thieves shattered our front door glass and entered at 2:36 am. They stole our cash drawer (it was empty, but they still took the whole box), and they stole our 2 food truck generators (one was brand new).

It's not just the financial setbacks ($1100 for glass, $200 for cash drawer, $5000 for generators, $200 for the wheels the generators were on), but it's also loss of sales when our food truck can't go out for service, it's loss of wages for our team who doesn't have a shift to work now, it's loss of time with a 3am drive to Seattle to clean up glass and board up the door. Mostly, It's really, really discouraging.

We crossed a milestone in December with Buddha Bruddah celebrating 10 years of business. In April, We will mark 7 years at our Seattle location. 7 years of breakins and vandalism and theft. Will it ever stop?

After such a tough year for our industry (2024 was brutal), we were really hopeful for a new start and to gain positive momentum for 2025. This isn't the start we had hoped for.

We do want to thank SPD for their quick response time and thorough search efforts. Watching their teams on camera was encouraging; through their arrival on scene, announcing themselves before entering, sweeping the space, working with the K9 unit, their genuine support for us once we arrived, and the follow-up searching the neighborhood for our stolen items or signs of the thieves... it's nice to know that we have the backup. It would just be so much nicer if we didn't need to use it.
