“ Hết Tết, Xuân về “ 🌼

Hết tết: Literally means “the Tet holiday has ended.”
Còn xuân: Means “spring is still here.”
The word “xuân” in Vietnamese carries a dual meaning. It refers to both spring (the season) and youth (the prime of life). This duality adds depth to the phrase “Hết tết, còn xuân”, allowing it to convey a richer, more poetic message. ⛅️

It reminds us that while the grand celebrations of Tet (or any major milestones in life) may come to an end, the vitality and beauty of youth—or the youthful spirit—remain. 🥰
It encourages us to cherish and enjoy the present moment, embracing life’s simple joys and experiences, rather than focusing solely on big, formal occasions.

Hanoi Milk Tea – Inspired by Yunnan Milk Tea 🪭✨

Although this milk tea originates from Yunnan, China, it gained widespread popularity in Hanoi, Vietnam—partly due to the close proximity between the two regions. Hanoi, located in northern Vietnam, experiences cooler temperatures compared to the rest of the country, making this comforting drink perfect for colder weather. 🌨️🥰

When crafting a beverage for both Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day, I drew inspiration from the vibrant red hues of jujubes and goji berries. I also kept in mind the most romantic city in Vietnam, Da Lat, renowned for its beautiful floral blooms—roses, jasmine, chrysanthemums. These rich, symbolic colors are often associated with luck, love, and good fortune, which influenced the creation of my own version of Yunnan Milk Tea. 🍶

Although I’ve never had the opportunity to try the original Yunnan version firsthand, I wanted to give credits where it’s due while infusing my personal connection to the beauty of Hanoi and Da Lat. For that reason, I chose to name it “Hanoi Milk Tea” ✨
