For those who don’t know us, hello! We are Upwell Wine and Coffee located in the heart of West Seattle! 👋🏻🍷☕️

Below are some frequently asked questions to help with your next (or first) visit!

Q: Are you the same as Walter’s Wine Shop?
A: Walter’s is our sibling business who we share the same space with! Walter’s focuses on retail (taking bottles home with you), tastings and wine classes!

Q: Do you serve coffee all the time?
A: We have a full coffee bar seven days a week from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Q: Do you do wine all the time?
A: Yes! Glass pours are available throughout the day until closing, seven days a week.

Q: Do you have food?
A: We do! Our co-owner and Chef, Rosanne Zhu has created an incredible menu including breakfast, lunch and dinner with vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options.

We have a lighter food menu Wednesday - Sunday and a more robust menu featuring multiple entrees Thursday - Saturday.

The day time menu ends at 3:00.

Q: Can you make reservations?
A: We accept reservations for groups of 5+ (available online or via phone) but are happy to add you to our waitlist if you give us a call a bit before you’re going to pay us a visit!

Q: Do you have other things to drink besides wine?
A: Yes! We also have a great selection of vermouth, beer, and N/A options

Let’s chat with the woman behind our incredible food menu, Chef Rosanne! A menu created around accessibility, seasonality and a modern take on classics, we promise you’ll love any selection you make.🍽️

Q: What on the menu are you most excited about right now?
A: Probably our Lamb Liver Mouse with a red wine gelee on top, which we added to the menu last week. The lamb we use comes from a local Washington state rancher and is a special order just for us. It is light and creamy, pairs incredibly well with wine and just is delicious!

Q: What are your 3 favorite seasonal items to cook with right now?
A: Has to be our patty pan squash (tiny baby squash), rainbow carrots and of course asparagus.

Q: What is an off menu item you love to cook with?
A: Hands down our Villa Jerada Olive Oil. It is owned by a local West Seattle family and comes from 300 year old trees in the Atlas Mountains. It’s such high quality that I barely have to do anything with it and speaks for itself. We also have it in shop to sell so guests can take home!

Q: Who is another local vendor you love to partner with?
A: Has to be East Anchor Seafood. Another locally owned by a family right here in West Seattle! They just are so suburb to work with and super accommodating to the needs of small businesses like us.
